Soccer players violate COVID-19 laws in High Park on Sunday April 18. Police do nothing.

The video, recorded by a High Park / Parkdale area resident, shows 20 adults gathered to play soccer in the main soccer field of High Park, Toronto. Most of the players are not wearing masks. The violations include playing sports at a sporting field and congregating with people who are not from your household.

The police officer nearby, guarding theĀ  cherry blossom trees, told residents that his supervisor was aware of and monitoring the situation. No police ever approached the players or attempted to halt the game.

Four police officers were on the scene and ignored the violations. Two were at the main gate standing behind a barricade, one was circling the park, driving the wrong way around the looping main road, and one was meters away from the soccer game, apparently tasked with preventing people from getting too close to the cherry blossom trees.
